Sony Rootkit Mess: Shame on You Sony!

I can not belive that a company like Sony is doing this.

They are resusing themself to be the low level scum spyware/hackers that they are fighting.

They have a rootkit installer on all they new Sony music CDs that hides their files in the vitim's computer.

This make the ability for any hacker or malicious person to create a malicious program to hide themself on your computer and cause huge damage.

It also acts as a typical spyware by recording your music activities and sending the information to Sony.

Shame on Sony!!!!

Read this article from Systernals for more information on the issue.

This is a big issue and I will be doing my part. I will never ever buy a Sony CD ever again!!!!

FLAC - Free Lossless Audio Codec

FLAC - Free Lossless Audio Codec grossly oversimplified, FLAC is similar to MP3, but lossless, meaning that audio is compressed in FLAC without any loss in quality. This is similar to how Zip works, except with FLAC you will get much better compression because it is designed specifically for audio, and you can play back compressed FLAC files in your favorite player (or your car or home stereo) just like you would an MP3 file.

Hurricane Wilma: Update!

Originally uploaded by cand3la.
I will like to apologize for my delay in posting. As you all might know I have been busy with clean up from Hurricane Wilma.

I'll like to report that my electricity came back on last night. I did not have structural damage to my home. All I got from Wilma was two day with no electricity and phone. Also I got a broken water pipe which was fixed the next morning. I even got my cable at the same time as I got my electricity.

It was a little scary while we were under the Wilma but everything was ok right after. I don’t remember ever seen such shiny stars as the night before, maybe because the whole city was in the darkness due to the lack of electricity. It was beautiful!

One funny thing did happen to me while sitting at my house with no electricity; I was on my laptop’s battery writing my book when my computer said that I was connected to a low linksys network. I try opening my browser and there I was, online. I have no idea who could it be since there was absolutely no electricity. It was kind of freaky!
I open my AIM and started talking my favorite author Meghan Marco (Click here to view IM Conversation). Been online did not last but It was fun while it lasted.

I will like to thank all of my friends for your concern emails. My family and I are ok.

Thanks...

My Self Esteem

If you are one of the few lucky people that know me personally, then you'll know that I normally have a low sefl esteem. I have done one of the most stupid things that I have ever know any one to do. I put a pictuce of me in Hot or Not dot com.

Is this wrong?

Maybe not, maybe so but I know one thing, if I get a low number it definetely not help my self esteem. Which I know that is what i am going to end up with.

I'm sure I am not the only one thinking this way. Have ever woke up and felt this way?

Do you feel this way because of people around you or is it because of you?

I am not talking about the people that have a mental condition, I am talking about normal people.

Have you seen those people that are always smiling and have that appearance that they are please with themself?

I wonder if these type of people have this issues.

Is it this way when you reach a certain age?

Does age have anything to do with this issue?

Why do you have to be Rude?

Isn’t psychologically conceivable that if someone is nice to you then you have a desire to be nice to them?

Why are some people the opposite?

It just gets on my last nerve that someone could be so mean to you after you were nice to them of did them a favor.

Is it possible that these people have the right to bitch after seen your reaction to this behavior?

All of the sudden you no longer are the nice person but the bad one, only because you have the courage to defend yourself.

Do we have the right to defend ourselves?

I will no longer put up with these rude people. I take a stand and tell then that I will continue to be the nicest person that I can be to as many people as I can unless they are rude to me.

I am a strong believer that a smile and/or a good deed is contagious and I will continue to do such things in hopes that many people will learn from this.

But I will no longer put up with rudeness and I will defend myself.

News from Cand3lasville

I'm sorry that I have not posted as frequently as I have in the past. I am in between my new motorcycle and my movie. Which I have to say it will be out soon.

I know the trailer said September 1st, 2005 but it might be a little later than that date. We are filming the final scenes. The cool thing is that we are filming and editing at almost the same time so it would not take long. I personally can not wait for the movie to be out. It is looking good on the cutting room so far. Without spoiling the movie too much I will say is that it will be like watching an old Chinese movie with the sound just a little skew from the mouth movements. It will also have a little anime-feel to it, so if you are an anime fan like me then you would like this film.

I am also reading the old book "Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy" and re-reading "Field Guide to the Apocalypse" which I have to say, have me hook. I don't know how many people can do this but I find it very strange that I am able to read multiple books. Also, if I happen to like a particular book or series of book then I would read them multiple times. I hope this doesn't makes me weird.

Oh well, I'm really enjoying these books so far. I think my next books will be the new Harry Potter book and Prey.

Well, this is my report from Cand3lasville and I’ll try to keep you posted sooner.

As soon as I finish my movie, I will be posting more frequent.

I Need You!

Dedicated to Tara Owen.

T
ara, as you wake in the morning and open your beautiful eyes, the heavens that look at you can not help but smile. It smiles with such a beautiful sunset upon you that the birds feel its joy and start their serenade.

The sun can not wait to caress your delicate face. To give you the warmth that only the joy from a lover can bring you.

As you stand up from bed, the bed sheets caress your entire body but do not want to let go. They hold-on to what ever part of your body that can hold-on to, as long and as hard as they can. This tends to explain why it is so hard for you to get up from bed.

You body is so intoxicatingly addictive that the water in the shower is expecting your presence so it too can have its share of your essence. It yearns to run thru your skin, from head to toe.

As you get out for the day, the wind touches your head as it runs thru your beautiful long hair. And it carries your aroma thru the wind so the whole creation can bare witness of your beautify.

And at the end of the day, when you laid down to sleep, the stars of the night shine on your face. So even at night when most things are dark, you face will be illuminated for the world to see.

So as you can see, I am not one to be blame if all I want to do is be with you, because if the big creation itself with all it possesses simply can not live without your presence, as strong as it is. I am but a spec in this galactic scenario; and in comparison with creation,

I am just a simple man!

The Road Ahead!

You can plan all you want but life I feel is just another version of the chaos theory. You could replay every possible scenario, every possible angle, and every situation but doesn’t matter how many times you play it out, it always finds a way to turn out different.

How you ever wonder why the weather predictions are just an intelligent guess on how the weather will be like?

I know for some of us this reality is a bad one and in most cases it’s not what we had plan for ourselves.

Can you really be happy with your own reality?

Honestly I think that doesn't matter in what state you are, you'll never be happy with your own reality.

You want proof?

Just ask the hottest girl you have ever seen even a models or actresses. They will tell you that they are not happy with their body.

Not happy with their bodies?

Are you kidding me?

Most guys will kill (literally) for a chance to go to bed with on of these women. Every one is dying to take their picture and they are not happy with their body.

Isn't this sad? Because most women will spend their whole lives trying to look like these women which are not happy with their bodies.

Well I guess one has to learn not to want what you don't have but to love what you already have.

Because one you obtain what you want, you are not going to be happy.
What you want it usually a lot better in your mind so when you finally obtain it, you get disappointed.

But if you learn to love what you already have then when you obtain what you want then and only then you will be truly rich and happy!

Don’t you agree?

When the make-up artist reach this step he said, wow you look freaky.

Do you want to see yourself?

Since there was no mirrors, I say go ahead and take a picture with my Palm Zire 71.

The only thing I regret is not to ask him to take another picture when the mask was completed.

You can imagine how hot it must be under all those layers, and on top of that been in a jungle like setting in the middle of the day with the sun glaring at you.

Then I had to go home and take the mask off in my shower, so imaging my kids’ expressions when I walk into my house with the mask on.

Yesterday we took more shot for the movie. In this shot I was cover with ketchup and sand.

Nasty!

After that scene I took a shower and man, I never seen so much sand on me in my whole life.

Hopefully the movie will turn out good.

X Factor

Tomorrow my friends and I will continue to shot our show. The last saturday was really exausting. I had a mask on all day, and it was hot.

Man! I almost fainted.

I can wait for us to finish shooting so then I can concentrated on editing.

I think that is the part of the movie that I think is the hardest and longest portion of making a movie.

I can't wait to go see it again. I think my favorite part is the same part that I hear so many people complain about.

It's how Anakin became Darth Vader. I think it was awsome even through some people I talked to think that it could have been longer.

Are you going to see it?

Watch Out!

Watch Out!
Originally uploaded by cand3la.
Watch out because my fingers are hot and I just started to pound on my keyboard's keys.

I feel bad for my computer because the computer is what takes my beating after my frustrations.

Man, will I ever learn. Or should I say...

How can I cope with this?

I just finish watching the Movie "Heartbreaks" and I felt so bad for the guy at the beginning of the movie. I guess I felt that way because it resembles me and what I go thru.

How can a woman work a guy up so bad? Get him so sexually hot until the point of erotic explosion and then let him go.

Yes, let him cold turkey.

Can they see that moments like that are the most vulnerable moments for any guy?

How can you expect that in moments like this, he is not going to cheat if other woman takes the opportunity of this weakness?

And then she blames him for cheating!

I'm sorry if I sound frustrated. I'm just trying to understand the mentality after this madness.

It's almost like getting a meal in front of a hungry Lion and waives it in its face. Not give the Lion the meal but taunting him with it, and at the end taking the meal away.

Am I starting to make sense here?

If someone has the misfortune of falling inside this Lion's cage, do not expect the Lion not to eat the person!!!!

And the bad thing is that this same Lion gets shot dead because of something that is not his fault. If the caretaker would just give the Lion his meal, then the misfortune would not had happen.

Well what I am trying to say is the same thing as the Lion story I just told. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying the cheating is good in any shape of form. Just like the Lion eating that person is not good. But can this woman understand that she should not play with the Lion's appetite any longer and expecting not to eat another woman and then blame him for cheating.

I am not a cheater nor will I ever be one, but boy I sure understand cheaters now...

Cold showers and ice can only go so far! There would be a moment when the Lion can not take his urges anymore and the inevitable will happen.

You'll make a cheater out of an honest man!!!

"I am Sci-Fi"

I just wanted to say that I love everything Sci-fi. From movies to books and even conversation. I can easely follow any conversation about any sci-fi topic.

I think this started when I was very young. Since I can rememer I have been drawn to watch any sci-fi material. I remember that I found such materials extremely facinating.

I remember watching:

1- "Space 1999"
2- "Buck Rogers"
3- "Battlestar Galactica"
4- The original "Star Trek"
5- "The Time Tunnel"
6- "The Thunderbird"
7- "Astroboy"
8- "Mazinger Z"
9- "Lost In Space"

among others...

I remember getting out of school and rushing home to catch the next episode of "V".

I believe that a good dose of Sci-Fi a day is good for everyone. It is an easy escape from the day to day hassle and stress. It helps you escape for just a little bit from reaity and in doing so gives you a mini break or vacaton. It helps you disconnect and relax. Now I am talking about what I called Sci-Fi, beause many people include Horror as Sci-Fi. Even though technically it is Sci-Fi, I exclude this from the category.

So read a good book, or watch a good movie, escape from reality...

I still love country music, is just that it was one of my phases.

My current phase is Merengue Music.

Can we be happy?...

Are you happy with the life you are living?

Shouldn’t we all be happy?

Have you taken a good look at how things are going for you at the current moment?

Shouldn’t we have the right to choose what makes us happy in live?

I think a person has a right to make changes in order to bring happiness in their lives.

So why is it that this task is so difficult for some of us?

I don’t claim to have the answers to these questions. I just think that if we are aware of the questions then we might work towards getting the answers.

How can you provide an answer if you do not know the question?

If we take a deep look into our inner self then maybe, just maybe we will have an idea of what makes us unhappy. To be able to find our happy trigger.

Is it possible to be happier by helping other to be happy?

I think so.

I have found myself many times smiling after:

A stranger has been smiling at me for some time.
Or after someone holds the door for me.

It seems as if this is a contagious thing!

So, why couldn’t we just smile a little more in order to make more people smile?

I hope that since it is a contagious thing then maybe just maybe we can get enough people to smile. Hold doors. And eventually the world could be a happier place.

Don’t you agree?

Next time see are out in public, Smile.

Who knows?

You might make someone’s day!

Reality?!?!?

Have you ever sit down and think about what is reality?

Yes, you might ask me, what kind of question is that. You might even say to me that I have gone mad.

But seriously, how you ever pay attention to reality?
What is reality?
How do you know what is reality?

Is not like someone has sit down with us and explain what it is.

Don’t we live in our minds?

Our mind is the interpreter to all electrical impulses. If reality is our minds interpretation of the electrical reactions resulting from our senses then How do we know what is really our there?

How do we know when those electrical impulses have fail and gave us the wrong conception of a specific reality?

How do we know that we are not just blobs of gas floating around instead of flesh and bones?

Our minds very easily create our senses. Our minds could very easily create the visual of our body for us. It could create the daily aromas, the feelings, and many other things.

With that in mind, how do we know that a particular reality is (or is not) the same as someone else’s reality?

How do we know that what for me is color blue could really be red to someone else.

Is there really a way to find out?

This might be the reason why we have interpretations pollution.

Have you ever known a particular subject so well that you could talk about it in your sleep. Suddenly you are call into do a seminar on that subject. The day arrived and you gave the best speech ever given on the subject. Your speech was the most clearly spoken speech on the subject ever given. Then you pull some random people from the seminar and get their impression of the seminar. Guess what! I’ll bet you that you will get so many different conceptions of your speech that it will depress you. All of the sudden you feel that you are a failure because as a speaker you fail to convey the clear message you were set out to convey.

This is exactly what I am talking about. We could be living a specific reality but this could be a complete different reality for another.

So please keep this in mind when you speak with someone today.

"I See Blog People"

What is the fascination with Blog?

Everywhere I turn I find blogs. I find blogs about any and every topic imaginable. Blogs about cars, babies, houses, companies, products, and more...

It's a Blog revolution!

It amazes me the fascination people have with blogs, but I think the most important aspect of blogging is its therapeutic properties.
Just imagine that you have a bad day at work. You come home but you don't want to bother anyone with your frustrations since everyone has their very own problems. Before you would keep these thoughts in your head and eventually you would get so irritated that it would get you in a bad mood. It is very important to vent all your frustrations out. If you don't vent it out then your mood could get worse and worse.

Now in a blogging world, you could write all your frustrations in a Blog. You just sit on your computer chair and type away your thoughts. You don't have the normal worries you would have when you talk to a person because no one is there.

Just you and your Blog!

You will be amaze of how you will feel after you vent on a Blog.

So my advice for all of you is that instead of getting mad at the wrong person, just open your Blog and type away. You will feel liberated.

And this way we can see more and more Blog people everywhere...
